200 Australian dollars
Brighenti Design

Service Description

Over the course of the day, we’ll cover general principles of both naked and glazed raku, decoration techniques, safety, principles of firing and tips to get specific effects, and cleaning and finishing. We typically do two firings during a workshop, depending on the work people bring. With decoration and cool down time, that usually takes 4-5 hours. Participants will receive two bisqueware pieces of mine (usually a small planter, plate, or vase) to decorate and fire. Additional pieces can be purchased for $20/each. You’re also welcome to bring some of your own work- if that’s something you’re interested in, we can chat about clay types and bisque temps. The workshop is limited to 4-5 people and the cost of the workshop is $200pp.
